NTR's son Balakrishna may enter politics

Hyderabad: Popular Telugu actor and N T Rama Rao's son N Balakrishna on Thursday appeared to be gearing up for an imminent political foray, an apparent bid to counter the impact of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

As a precursor to his political entry, Balakrishna inaugurated an 'Annadanam' (mass feeding) programme at the charitable trust here, named after his mother late Basava Tarakam.

Talking to reporters, he said he had come to extend support to his fans and TDP activists who took up charity to help the poor.
